Pakistani Prime Minister Discusses Stronger Ties with Chinese Ambassador

Islamabad, In a recent meeting, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Pakistan, H.E. Jiang Zaidong, met with Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, underscoring the commitment of both nations to fortify their longstanding relations and advance mutual development agendas.

According to a news release by the Press International Department, Prime Minister Kakar expressed his gratitude to Chinese President Xi Jinping and the Chinese leadership for their hospitality during his recent journey to China. He emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering resolve to act on the Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements established during his trip. Highlighting the impact of these agreements, the Prime Minister stated they would usher in a renewed phase for the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Additionally, the Prime Minister hailed the Belt and Road Initiative by China as a catalyst for growth and prosperity in the broader region. Reaffirming the depth and strength of Pakistan-China ties, the Prime Minister used poetic imagery, saying their bond is “higher than towering mountains and deeper than deep seas.” He also acknowledged the tangible benefits that citizens of both nations are reaping from the CPEC.

Concluding the discourse, the Chinese Ambassador, Jiang Zaidong, reassured the Prime Minister of China’s unwavering support for the economic stability and development of Pakistan.
