Islamabad, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan held a telephonic conversation with His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, today, on the occasion of Eid ul Adha, discussing bilateral relations and the situation in Palestine.

According to Press Information Department, the Prime Minister conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to the Amir, the government, and the people of Qatar, emphasizing the shared values and mutual respect that form the foundation of the relationship between the two countries. The leaders discussed the significance of Eid ul Adha as a symbol of sacrifice, compassion, and unity and expressed concern over the ongoing challenges faced by the people of Palestine, calling for increased international efforts to achieve peace in the region.

The conversation also covered areas of cooperation between Pakistan and Qatar, particularly in trade, investment, and labor. The Amir accepted an invitation to visit Pakistan, with arrangements for the visit to be finalized soon. Both leaders committed to continuing to work together to enhance peace, stability, and prosperity regionally and globally.
