Islamabad: In a powerful condemnation issued on September 30, 2024, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker of Pakistan’s National Assembly, denounced Israel’s military activities in the Middle East as escalating threats to regional peace and global security. He expressed particular concern over the toll on civilian lives in Gaza and Lebanon, underscoring the urgent need for international intervention.
According to National Assembly of Pakistan, Speaker Sadiq criticized the silence of nations that traditionally champion democracy, justice, and human rights, describing their lack of response as “dismaying.” He called on the international community, including the United Nations, human rights groups, and global powers, to take immediate action against what he termed Israeli adventurism. This stance, he argued, constitutes a blatant violation of human rights and a direct threat to Middle Eastern stability.
The Speaker also conveyed his condolences to the families of those killed in Lebanon, reinforcing Pakistan’s solidarity with the people of Gaza and Lebanon. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to advocating for human rights and the restoration of peace in the region, signaling ongoing support for those affected by the conflicts.
