Pakistani IPO Officer’s Article on Counterfeits Published in JPO Alumni Magazine “ENISHI”

Islamabad, An article by Ms. Tafseer Fatima, a Senior Examiner of Patents/Designs from Pakistan, titled “Measures Taken by the Government of Pakistan to Curb Counterfeits,” has been selected and published in the Japan Patent Office (JPO) Alumni Magazine “ENISHI” No.35, November 2023.

According to Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan, the magazine “ENISHI” is part of the Intellectual Property Cooperation in Human Resource Development Program of the Japan Patent Office. It features information on seminars and training courses on intellectual property cooperation at the JPO and includes contributions from JPO international trainees and alumni about the intellectual property systems in their respective countries.

Ms. Tafseer Fatima’s article sheds light on the issue of counterfeits and the measures taken by the Government of Pakistan to combat this challenge. The article emphasizes the detrimental impact of counterfeiting on consumers, businesses, and the economy at large.
