Pakistani Interior Minister and Russian Ambassador Discuss Enhanced Cooperation

Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with Russian Ambassador Albert P. Khorev in Islamabad to discuss bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest. The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation in counter-terrorism and anti-narcotics efforts.

According to a statement by Press Information Department, both officials agreed to activate a counter-terrorism dialogue between their countries. They also concurred on increasing the exchange of delegations to bolster mutual ties.

The Russian ambassador extended an invitation for Pakistani officials to participate in anti-narcotics training programs in Moscow and Siberia. Minister Naqvi emphasized that terrorism is a global challenge requiring collective efforts and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing relations with Russia.

The discussions highlighted the potential for bilateral cooperation across various sectors, as both nations seek to address shared challenges and opportunities.
