Islamabad, Murtaza Solangi, the Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting, has pledged to meet all the requirements set by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to ensure smooth, free, fair, and transparent elections in the country.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Solangi, in an interview with PTV, stressed the government’s commitment to providing the necessary financial, administrative, and security support for the upcoming polls. He also emphasized that state media, including Radio Pakistan and PTV, are offering equal coverage to the campaigning activities of all political parties.
The Minister informed that special programs related to the elections are currently being broadcast and aired by both Radio Pakistan and PTV. He pointed out the significance of these state broadcasters, noting their role as neutral platforms operating on the taxes of the Pakistani people, thereby ensuring impartiality in their programming.
Solangi further highlighted the extensive reach of Radio Pakistan across the nation and its crucial role in educating the public about the general elections. The Minister’s statements underline the government’s efforts to facilitate an informed and fair electoral process in Pakistan.
