Pakistani Hindu Faqir Shiva Counters India’s Propaganda at World Hindu Congress

Islamabad, In a striking instance of “the pot calling the kettle black,” the Hindutva government in India, known for its discriminatory policies against minorities, has continued its propaganda against Pakistan. The recent World Hindu Congress in Bangkok, attended by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and other Hindutva leaders, witnessed baseless allegations of minority persecution in Pakistan.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the delegates at the congress, sponsored by the Modi regime, were met with a robust response from a Pakistani Hindu, Faqir Shiva. Contradicting the propaganda, Shiva asserted that Hindus in Pakistan live peacefully and enjoy legal protection of their rights. He emphasized the harmonious coexistence of various faiths in Pakistan, including Muslims, Christians, Hindus, and Sikhs, who practice their religious values freely.

Shiva pointed out the Pakistani Constitution’s provision for the protection of basic rights for all individuals, irrespective of their religion. He cited the opening of the Kartarpur Corridor for Sikhs and the recent visit of hundreds of Indian pilgrims to their religious sites in Pakistan as evidence of the country’s commitment to religious freedom.

In stark contrast, Faqir Shiva highlighted the plight of religious minorities in India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s regime. Since Modi’s ascendancy, there has been a notable increase in crimes against Muslims, Christians, and other minorities, often involving attacks by Hindu mobs. This wave of Hindutva hate incitement has led to the political, economic, and social victimization of these groups, a fact that has been documented in reports by global rights’ watchdogs like Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International.
