Singapore, A 62-member delegation of Pakistani fintech companies, including finalists from the Sprint Pakistan Hackathon, is participating in the annual Singapore Fintech Festival (SFF) from November 15-17, 2023. This participation reflects Pakistan’s growing fintech sector’s efforts to engage with global technology platforms and financial institutions.
According to Press Information Department (PID), the delegation, organized by the Bank of Punjab in collaboration with various partners, visited major tech companies in Singapore, receiving briefings on their plans in Pakistan. Google and Meta are supporting Pakistan’s initiatives in financial inclusion, digital literacy, and SME promotion. The High Commissioner of Pakistan in Singapore is hosting a networking dinner, inviting leaders from Singapore’s financial and tech sectors for interactions with the Pakistani delegation. This event is a precursor to the SFF, one of the world’s largest fintech events, offering the Pakistani delegates opportunities to meet global regulators, investors, and founders.
