Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister To Address Diaspora Land Issues In UK Visit

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, will embark on a three-day official trip to the United Kingdom starting August 17, focusing on bolstering bilateral ties and addressing critical land ownership concerns for overseas Pakistanis.

During his stay in London, Dar is slated to meet with key UK officials, including Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner and Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Pakistan, Hamish Falconer. A breakfast meeting with Commonwealth Secretary-General, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, is also on the agenda.

A central highlight of the visit will be the launch of a pilot project by the Punjab Land Record Authority at the Pakistan High Commission in London. This program aims to facilitate overseas Pakistanis in resolving property documentation problems remotely.

The Foreign Minister’s itinerary also includes engagements with British lawmakers, Kashmiri community leaders, and representatives of the British-Pakistani diaspora. The visit underscores the Pakistani government’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic relations and addressing the needs of its citizens abroad.
