Pakistani Delegation Preps for Key UAE Talks


Abu Dhabi: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar chaired a preparatory meeting in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, setting the stage for the twelfth session of the Pakistan-UAE Joint Ministerial Commission.



The meeting reviewed the detailed agenda for the upcoming commission and assessed the progress on multiple bilateral engagements. Discussions centered on trade, investment, energy, telecommunications, and employment opportunities for Pakistani workers in the UAE.



Dar recognized the efforts of participating ministries and departments for their active involvement in the process. He emphasized the importance of converting dialogue into actionable outcomes.



The Deputy Prime Minister expressed confidence that the twelfth session of the commission would lead to concrete measures, strengthening bilateral cooperation and institutional connections between Pakistan and the UAE.



The meeting saw attendance from notable officials including SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Special Secretary EAD, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, and Secretaries of Commerce, Interior, Overseas Pakistanis, IT, and SIFC. Additional Secretaries from the Ministry of Food Security and Ministry of Foreign Affairs were also present.
