The dialogue, lasting over an hour, underscored Pakistan’s commitment to playing a constructive role in stabilizing the region.
According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Sharif expressed strong condemnation of Israeli attacks on Iran, with particular emphasis on recent strikes targeting civilian infrastructure. He extended condolences for the loss of over 1,900 lives and assured support for Iran in these challenging times. The Prime Minister highlighted ongoing diplomatic efforts by Pakistan to engage with the United States, Gulf, and other Islamic nations to facilitate peace talks.
Iranian President Pezeshkian appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic endeavors and shared his views on the hostilities with Israel. He emphasized the importance of building trust and commended Pakistan’s supportive role in pursuing peace.
