Islamabad, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar of Pakistan met with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte on the sidelines of the COP-28 conference in Dubai, discussing bilateral relations and various international and regional issues.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the leaders engaged in discussions about the situation in Afghanistan, the humanitarian situation in Gaza, and the strengthening of bilateral ties between Pakistan and the Netherlands. They acknowledged the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, celebrated in Islamabad and The Hague. Prime Minister Kakar emphasized the potential for collaboration between Pakistan and the Netherlands, both bilaterally and through the European Union, in areas such as agriculture, horticulture, water management, and renewable energy. He also highlighted Pakistan’s climate vulnerabilities and invited Dutch companies to invest in Pakistan. Prime Minister Kakar extended an invitation to Prime Minister Rutte to visit Pakistan, further enhancing the diplomatic relationship between the two nations.
