Washington D.C: Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, Pakistan’s envoy to the United States, has concluded a fruitful three-day visit to Texas, emphasizing the potential for strengthened partnerships between Pakistan and the state in sectors such as IT, agriculture, textiles, and sports. During his visit, Ambassador Sheikh engaged with Texas officials, business leaders, and the Pakistani diaspora, discussing avenues for enhancing bilateral relations and economic cooperation.

According to Embassy of Pakistan – Washington D.C, Ambassador Sheikh’s itinerary included meetings in Dallas and Houston with key stakeholders, including Texas Governor Greg Abbott, with whom he explored potential cooperative ventures that could benefit both economies. Texas, as the world’s 8th largest economy, presents significant opportunities for Pakistani businesses and investors.

In Houston, the Ambassador kicked off the first-ever Pakistan Literature Festival, organized by the International Academy of Letters, highlighting the importance of cultural diplomacy in strengthening international ties. He also met with leaders of the Ismaili community and attended a send-off ceremony for medical equipment headed to Pakistan, applauding the efforts of local organizations in supporting healthcare initiatives abroad.

Ambassador Sheikh’s engagements in Dallas were equally strategic, involving discussions on security, defense, and economic relations with Congressman Lance Carter Gooden. He also met with the Pakistan Chamber of Commerce-USA, reassuring Pakistani-American entrepreneurs of the embassy’s support in facilitating business and investment opportunities in Pakistan.
