Islamabad, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Masood Khan, has recognized the significant role of the Pakistani American community in both strengthening Pakistan-US relations and contributing to Pakistan’s development. His comments came during a conversation with a prominent Pakistani social figure in Houston.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ambassador Khan spoke with Muhammad Saeed Sheikh, President of the Karachi Houston Sister City Association and a long-time participant in philanthropic activities. Sheikh briefed the Ambassador on various welfare activities, including the collection of one million dollars for Pakistan’s flood victims, benefiting approximately 65,000 people.
Ambassador Khan lauded Sheikh’s charitable efforts, noting that the Pakistani community in the US consistently supports their compatriots in Pakistan during challenging times. This engagement not only aids in development initiatives in Pakistan but also plays a crucial role in showcasing the country’s true identity.
