Pakistan Warns India Against Military Aggression

Islamabad: Pakistan has issued a stern warning to India against potential military aggression, highlighting the risks to regional stability in South Asia. This comes following condemnatory remarks by Foreign Office Spokesperson Sajjad Haider Khan in response to comments made by the Indian Defence Minister, which were perceived as provocative.

According to Radio Pakistan, during his weekly media briefing, Khan criticized India’s statements as reflective of a hegemonic mindset, emphasizing the severe implications for regional peace. He reminded India of the previous year’s military confrontation in May, where Pakistan demonstrated its readiness and capability to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity. Khan underscored that Pakistan’s commitment to peace should not be misinterpreted as a sign of weakness, and any future aggression would receive a decisive response.

Khan further urged India to reconsider its stance and rhetoric, advocating for a more responsible approach toward lasting peace in the region. He reiterated that India’s actions on August 5, 2019, concerning the division of Jammu and Kashmir, remain illegal and contrary to international resolutions.

In addition to addressing India, Khan condemned recent Houthi militia attacks on Saudi Arabia, particularly targeting the King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for Saudi sovereignty and security under the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, denouncing attacks on civilians and infrastructure as threats to regional security.
