Pakistan Vows to Uphold Human Rights Domestically and Globally, FM Confirms

ISLAMABAD, Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani has affirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to both the protection and enhancement of human rights, not only within its borders but also on the international stage.

According to a new release by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, this pledge was conveyed during a discussion with the US Ambassador at-large for International Religious Freedom, Rashad Hussain. Ambassador Hussain met with the Foreign Minister in Islamabad earlier this Monday. Details of the broader conversation have yet to be disclosed, but the meeting underlines the importance both nations place on the universal values of human rights and religious freedom.
