Pakistan Urges Taliban to Curb Cross-Border Terrorism

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, has called on the Taliban government to take definitive action against terrorist activities emanating from Afghan soil, which threaten to undermine relations between the two countries.

In a recent social media post on X, Dar voiced his concerns regarding incidents at the Pak-Afghan border, specifically citing unprovoked firing and raids by Taliban forces as serious provocations.

Dar emphasized that Pakistan’s military responses are directed solely at Taliban infrastructure and groups such as Fitna-al-Khawarij and Fitna-al-Hindustan, which are operating from Afghanistan. He assured that these operations are not aimed at the Afghan civilian population.

He also highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to exercising caution in its military actions to prevent civilian casualties, contrasting this approach with that of the Taliban forces.

The Deputy Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to defend its territory, sovereignty, and citizens, indicating that the country will consider all necessary measures to ensure its security.
