Islamabad: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, announced that the country is urging the Taliban Government to take decisive actions against terrorist elements that threaten to undermine the relationship between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
In a recent post on the social media platform X, Dar expressed significant concern over the recent developments along the Pak-Afghan border. He pointed out that unprovoked firing and raids by the Taliban Government have been seen as a serious provocation.
Dar emphasized that Pakistan’s responses, which include targeted strikes, are aimed specifically at Taliban infrastructure and are intended to neutralize terrorist elements such as Fitna-al-Khawarij and Fitna-al-Hindustan that are operating from Afghan territory.
He clarified that Pakistan’s defensive measures are not directed at the peace-loving Afghan civilian population. Unlike the Taliban Forces, Dar noted, Pakistan is exercising extreme caution in its defensive actions to prevent civilian casualties.
The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that Pakistan will continue to take all necessary measures to protect its territory, sovereignty, and its people.
