New York: Pakistan has reiterated its call for India to adhere to United Nations Security Council resolutions concerning Kashmir, emphasizing the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination. The statement was made at the United Nations, highlighting ongoing tensions and the need for resolution in the region.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Jawad Ajmal, First Secretary at the Pakistan Mission, utilized his right of reply to criticize India’s policies in Jammu and Kashmir. Ajmal accused India of being influenced by an ideology of hate and inability to recognize the severe conditions in the occupied territory. He asserted that Pakistan has consistently presented evidence to the UN Security Council of alleged Indian sabotage activities in Kashmir.
Ajmal also called on the international community to hold India accountable for what he described as state terrorism and violations of international law in Jammu and Kashmir, as well as alleged assassination campaigns abroad. This plea underscores the deep-seated issues at the heart of the Kashmir conflict and Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to internationalize the dispute.
