New York: At the United Nations, Pakistan has highlighted the urgent need for international collaboration to prevent an arms race in outer space.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a speech at the UN General Assembly, Counsellor in Pakistan Mission to the United Nations, Gul Qaiser Sarwani, expressed concerns about the potentially devastating consequences of a space arms race. The counsellor emphasized that the interplay between defensive and offensive space capabilities is undermining strategic stability worldwide.
The Pakistani delegate stressed the importance of global cooperation to address the challenges that threaten peace and security in outer space, which ultimately impact all domains of life.
