Pakistan Unveils Landmark Report on Children’s Wellbeing

Islamabad: The Federal Minister for Human Rights, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, participated in the unveiling of the inaugural State of Children in Pakistan Report 2024, an event organized by the National Commission on the Rights of Child (NCRC) Pakistan.

The report provides an extensive analysis of the status of children across the nation. It highlights progress in areas such as immunisation and legislative measures while drawing attention to ongoing issues including child labour, malnutrition, and the significant number of children not attending school.

Minister Tarar emphasized the report’s role as more than a collection of statistics, describing it as a “call to action.” He reiterated the government’s dedication to prioritizing child protection within the national development framework.

The report is anticipated to serve as a pivotal resource for policymakers, guiding efforts to address the pressing challenges facing children in Pakistan.
