Pakistan underscores role of Parliaments to achieve anti-poverty SDGs

Islamabad, June 24, 2021 (PPI-OT):Pakistan has underscored the role of Parliaments to achieve anti-poverty Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and overcoming the challenges posed by coronavirus crisis. This was stated by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to United Nations, Munir Akram while virtually addressing a two-day meeting of International Forum of Global Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation in Bukhara, Uzbekistan. Ambassador Akram said mobilizing the participation and support of parliaments for global development agenda is urgent.
