Pakistan Transitions to Sustainable Growth with Private Sector Focus

Karachi: Pakistan has successfully shifted from a phase of macroeconomic stabilization to sustainable growth driven by the private sector, according to Khurram Schehzad, Adviser to the Finance Minister. This development is attributed to structural reforms, increased investor confidence, and strong economic fundamentals.

According to Radio Pakistan, Schehzad highlighted this economic transition during a seminar titled “Pakistan Economic Outlook: Fiscal Year 2027 and Beyond” held in Karachi. He detailed the country’s economic progress over the last two to three years, emphasizing restored macroeconomic stability and a new focus on sustaining growth through investment and exports. The real GDP growth has reached 3.7 percent, bolstered by improvements in agriculture, large-scale manufacturing, and the services sector.
