Pakistan to Work with China for Shared Prosperity, Global Peace: President Zardari


Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has announced Pakistan’s intent to collaborate closely with China to achieve shared prosperity and enhance global peace. In a recent address at the China’s National Day Reception, President Zardari highlighted the strategic importance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and its potential to bring about significant regional connectivity and prosperity, marking the 75th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China. The event, well-attended by prominent figures including Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, saw the President extend warm greetings to China, emphasizing the deep, strategic partnership between the two nations.



According to Press Information Department, President Zardari praised the enduring Pakistan-China relationship during his speech at the reception, which was held at the Serena Hotel. He reflected on the “rebirth of a strong, united China” which he attributed to the perseverance and vision of the Communist Party and its leadership. The President remarked on the transformation of the Pakistan-China relationship into an All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership, which he described as a beacon of international relations and a source of mutual inspiration and strength.



The President also acknowledged China as an “iron-clad brother” of Pakistan, expressing national pride in the steadfast friendship that has stood resilient during challenging times. With optimism, President Zardari expressed hopes for China’s future achievements which he believes will not only further China’s development but also positively reshape the global landscape in politics, economics, and culture.
