Islamabad, November 19, 2022 (PPI-OT):Pakistan will provide more than 4500 scholarships to the students of Afghanistan next year. This was stated by Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Muhammad Sadiq during a meeting of Afghanistan Inter-ministerial Coordination Cell in Islamabad.
He said around 6000 Afghan students are getting education in the top universities of Pakistan in different fields, including medical, engineering and social sciences. A high-level delegation led by Health Minister of Afghanistan Dr Ibad met with Pakistani officials and discussed the Pak- Afghan relationship.
Muhammad Sadiq said that Pakistan has provided financial assistance worth one billion rupees to Afghanistan in the health sector, adding that we are up-grading three major hospitals, including Jinnah Hospital in Kabul, Naib Amin Hospital in Logar and Nishter Hospital in Jalalabad.
Afghan Health Minister Dr Ibad expresses gratitude to the government of Pakistan for extending support to Afghanistan in this testing time. He said that Pakistan is playing vital role for peace and development in Afghanistan.
