Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has declared that May 10 will be commemorated annually as ‘Marka-e-Haq Day’ to honor the success of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos. The announcement emphasizes national unity and the professional capabilities of the country’s armed forces.
In a recent statement, the Prime Minister outlined plans to celebrate the day with enthusiasm, reflecting pride in the military’s achievements. Additionally, May 16 has been designated as a day to pay tribute to the Armed Forces for their role in securing a significant victory on the defense front. Special thanksgiving prayers will be conducted, expressing gratitude and seeking the nation’s development.
The Prime Minister also unveiled a relief package for Pakistanis affected by unprovoked Indian aggression. Families of civilians killed will receive ten million rupees each, while the injured will receive between one and two million rupees.
For the heirs of the Armed Forces’ martyrs, compensation will range from 10 to 18 million rupees, with injured personnel receiving two to five million rupees. Furthermore, housing assistance between 19 to 42 million rupees will be provided based on rank.
The government will ensure the continuation of full salary and allowances for martyrs’ families until the retirement date and offer free education for their children up to graduation. A marriage grant of one million rupees will be provided for one daughter of each martyr.
The Federal Government also plans to rebuild homes and mosques impacted by the Indian attack and will cover medical expenses for the injured. The Prime Minister emphasized the government’s duty to support the children of martyrs and affirmed that national recognition and honors will be awarded to those who have defended the country’s dignity.
