Pakistan to Launch Startup Fund on January 9: IT Minister Umar Saif

Islamabad, The Pakistani government is set to launch the Pakistan Startup Fund on Tuesday, as announced by Caretaker Minister for Information Technology, Dr. Umar Saif. This initiative is aimed at boosting investments in the nation’s burgeoning startup ecosystem.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dr. Saif, in an interview with a private TV channel, revealed that the fund’s establishment is part of a broader strategy to stimulate the country’s startup sector. He noted that over the past four years, Pakistani startups have successfully attracted nearly eight hundred million dollars in foreign investments, showcasing the sector’s potential and growth.

Additionally, Dr. Saif discussed the government’s ongoing efforts to conduct tests for IT scholarships. This move is indicative of a concerted effort to nurture talent and foster innovation within the technology sector, further strengthening Pakistan’s position in the global tech landscape.
