Abu Dhabi: Pakistan is set to make a significant mark at GITEX Global 2024, the world’s largest technology exhibition, which will take place from October 14 to 18 in Dubai. With 24 leading exhibitors representing the country, Pakistan aims to showcase its advancements in the information technology sector, underlining its growing role as a key player in the global digital economy.
According to Press Information Department, H.E. Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, highlighted the importance of the country’s participation, noting that Pakistan has been recognized as the ‘Tech Destination of the Year 2024’ by GITEX Global. This distinction, he said, underscores Pakistan’s progress in the tech industry and its potential as an emerging hub for digital innovation and entrepreneurship. Ambassador Tirmizi emphasized that GITEX Global offers an unparalleled opportunity for Pakistani companies to engage with global tech leaders, investors, and potential collaborators.
Pakistan’s exhibitors will be showcasing their offerings in a 156-square-meter space at the Dubai World Trade Centre, facilitated by the Government of Pakistan. This year’s participation reflects the country’s increasing influence in the digital sphere and reaffirms its ambition to expand its presence in the global technology market.
