Islamabad, February 11, 2022 (PPI-OT):Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi says Pakistan, as a member of International Labour Organization (ILO) will continue to support important global priorities like combating social and economic inequality. He was talking to South Korea’s candidate for Director General, International Labour Organization Kang Kyung-wha who called on the Foreign Minister in Islamabad on Friday.
The Foreign Minister said the COVID-19 pandemic adversely affected the employees, workers and employers globally and now a fair developmental financing and vaccine equity will help revive the global economy. He expressed the hope that as an experienced female candidate from Asia Pacific region, Kang Kyung-wha will be a strong and impressive candidate for ILO leadership. Kang Kyung-wha thanked Shah Mahmood Qureshi for his words of appreciation.
