Islamabad: Pakistan has announced plans to formally brief the United Nations Security Council on recent regional developments, focusing on India’s actions and their consequences for South Asia’s stability.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has instructed Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations to take immediate steps to organize a Security Council meeting. This initiative aims to bring international attention to what Pakistan views as provocations by India.
Central to Pakistan’s presentation will be concerns over India’s alleged illegal measures connected to the Indus Water Treaty. Pakistan intends to argue that these actions are not only provocative but pose a threat to regional peace and security.
This diplomatic effort is part of a broader strategy by Pakistan to convey its perspective and present what it considers to be accurate information to the global community.
