Pakistan, Thailand Explore Potential for Joint Cultural, Art Projects


Islamabad: In a significant move to strengthen bilateral ties, an eight-member Thai delegation led by Director General of Religious Affairs Chaiyapon Suk-leam held discussions with Pakistan’s Additional Secretary (Asia Pacific) Ambassador Imran Ahmed Siddiqui today. The talks centered on enhancing the cultural and artistic collaboration between the two nations, emphasizing their shared Buddhist heritage.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting focused on celebrating and deepening the cultural connections between Pakistan and Thailand, which are heavily influenced by their common historical ties to Buddhism. The discussions also covered potential joint cultural and art projects aimed at promoting mutual understanding and appreciation for their shared heritage.



The Thai delegation, which included the most venerable Anil Sakya, explored various avenues for collaboration in the fields of art and culture. This initiative is seen as a step towards fostering greater goodwill and cooperation between the two countries.
