Pakistan-Switzerland Bilateral Political Consultations Focus on Strengthening Relations

Berne, The 12th round of the Pakistan-Switzerland Bilateral Political Consultations took place in Berne, focusing on enhancing bilateral relations, trade, investment, security, and regional dynamics. The meeting was co-chaired by Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan, Additional Foreign Secretary (Europe) of Pakistan, and Ambassador Heinrich Schellenberg, Assistant Secretary of State for Asia and Pacific at the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) of Switzerland.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the consultations covered a wide range of topics, including political relations, economic cooperation, and regional and global issues of mutual interest. Both sides reaffirmed the significance of these bilateral consultations in strengthening the ties between Pakistan and Switzerland.

Additionally, the Additional Foreign Secretary of Pakistan met with the State Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, Ambassador Alexandre Fasel. They exchanged views on various areas including climate change, human rights, and development cooperation. The discussions emphasized the importance of high-level exchanges and the need to further intensify bilateral dialogues and interactions.

These consultations and meetings underline the ongoing commitment of both Pakistan and Switzerland to deepen their bilateral relationship and collaborate on key global and regional challenges.
