Islamabad, March 25, 2022 (PPI-OT):Pakistan has reaffirmed its support for a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Yemen as per relevant UN Security Council and OIC resolutions. This was stated by Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood while talking to Deputy Foreign Minister of Yemen Mansour Ali Saeed Bajash in Islamabad.
The Foreign Secretary stressed the need for continued cooperation between the two countries at multilateral forums, including the UN and the OIC. The Yamani Deputy Foreign Minister while conveying his government’s appreciation for Pakistan’s support expressed confidence that Pak-Yemen relations would continue to grow.
Meanwhile, Qatar’s Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi also called on Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood in Islamabad. They reviewed the multi-faceted Pakistan-Qatar relations, in addition to exchanging views on regional and international issues.
