The day featured two thrilling matches, with Peshawar Zalmi facing Karachi Kings at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, and Multan Sultans taking on Lahore Qalandar in the evening at Multan Stadium.

According to Punjab Police, the security protocol was implemented following directives from IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, who emphasized the utilization of all available resources to maintain a secure and convenient environment for the cricketing event.
