ISLAMABAD: Pakistan today successfully conducted a training launch of the Abdali Weapon System, a surface-to-surface missile with a range of 450 kilometers, as part of Exercise INDUS. The launch aimed to ensure the operational readiness of the troops and validate key technical parameters, including the missile’s advanced navigation system and maneuverability features.
The exercise was witnessed by the Commander of the Army Strategic Forces Command, along with senior officials from the Strategic Plans Division and the Army Strategic Forces Command. Scientists and engineers from Pakistan’s strategic organizations were also present to observe the proceedings.
In response to the successful launch, the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan, along with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and Services Chiefs, extended their congratulations to the troops, scientists, and engineers involved. They expressed full confidence in the operational preparedness and technical proficiency of Pakistan’s Strategic Forces, emphasizing the importance of maintaining credible minimum deterrence to protect national security from any potential aggression.
