Islamabad, December 11, 2021 (PPI-OT):Pakistan has stressed the importance of releasing the frozen financial resources of Afghanistan to help avert the humanitarian crisis. The attention to this effect was drawn by Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood during a meeting with a four-member US Senate’s delegation in Islamabad today (Saturday).
He said the international community must also provide immediate financial assistance and support to the Afghan people. On bilateral relations, the Foreign Secretary said Pakistan welcomes greater investments from the United States. The US Senators affirmed the desire to further strengthen the bilateral relationship.
