Pakistan Strategizes National Action Plan Upgrade On Human Rights

Islamabad: Pakistan concluded a consultative design workshop focused on enhancing its National Action Plan on Human Rights. The Ministry of Human Rights (MoHR), in partnership with the European Union in Pakistan and UNDP Pakistan, hosted the event to develop a roadmap for implementing improvements to the plan.

The assembly included high-ranking government officials, human rights organizations, and international development collaborators. Federal Secretary Abdul Khaliq Sheikh emphasized the government’s dedication to safeguarding the rights of all citizens, particularly vulnerable populations. Ms. Marta Ubeda Rodriguez, from the EU delegation, expressed the EU’s support for Pakistan’s development of a practical, comprehensive, and enduring plan that prioritizes human rights in governance. UNDP Pakistan confirmed its continued assistance through the Huqooq-e-Pakistan II initiative.
