Islamabad: The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) convened its 31st Board of Governors meeting, chaired by Rana Sanaullah, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Interprovincial Coordination, to address challenges in the sports sector and propose new policies for improvement. The meeting emphasized the importance of supporting national sports winners with enhanced facilities and introduced the idea of a gold card for these athletes to access gym and sports facilities.
According to Press Information Department, Rana Sanaullah outlined the PSB’s new initiatives, which include promoting martial arts, boxing, and other sports tournaments nationwide. The meeting also focused on the PSB’s role in organizing a weightlifting championship, with an emphasis on the necessary preparations. Discussions extended to include the Olympic Games, where Sanaullah praised Arshad Nadeem’s javelin throw achievements as exemplary and promised full support for athletes from the PSB.
Sanaullah reiterated the government’s commitment to providing necessary resources and training to young athletes to compete internationally, aiming to revolutionize the sports sector.
