Pakistan, South Korea agree on accelerating pace of hydel power projects 

Islamabad, June 01, 2022 (PPI-OT):Pakistan and South Korea have agreed on accelerating the pace of hydel power projects by Korean companies to improve Pakistan’s energy mix and help provide low-cost energy. The understanding was reached at a meeting of Korean Ambassador to Pakistan Mr Suh Sangpyo with Minister for Power Khurram Dastgir Khan and Minister of State for Power Hashim Notezai in Islamabad today (Wednesday). The Ambassador said South Korean companies are keenly interested in investment opportunities in Pakistan specially in hydel power generation sector.

Meanwhile, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki also called on Minister for Power Khurram Dastgir Khan and Minister of State Hashim Notezai in Islamabad today. During the meeting, the Ministers while highlighting the long-standing relations of both the countries, reiterated the resolve to further strengthen the same.
