Islamabad: The Pakistan – Slovenia Parliamentary Friendship Group (PFG) held its inaugural meeting, which included a comprehensive briefing session featuring representatives from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Commerce. The meeting marks the beginning of a new phase in the diplomatic relationship between the two nations.
According to National Assembly of Pakistan, the briefing session was chaired by Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon, who serves as both the Convener of the Pakistan – Slovenia PFG and the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir. The session was attended by Members of the National Assembly (MNAs) including Mr. Fateh Ullah Khan, with Ms. Wajiha Qamar and Ms. Shaista Khan participating virtually.
Representatives from the Foreign Ministry provided updates on diplomatic ties, collaboration, and progress across several sectors. Meanwhile, the Commerce Ministry offered insights into bilateral trade, identified potential areas for economic cooperation, and highlighted investment opportunities.
Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon emphasized the importance of strengthening parliamentary ties and maintaining regular diplomatic consultations. He pointed out that the Pakistan – Slovenia PFG has the potential to significantly contribute to mutual understanding and cooperation between the two countries.
The Parliamentary Friendship Group reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing bilateral interactions and engagement with Slovenia through high-level exchanges.
