Pakistan Signs Training Agreement with Commonwealth, Targets Youth Skill Enhancement

Islamabad: Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood, announced a significant initiative to provide technical training to Pakistani youth, supported by a new agreement with the Commonwealth focusing on Artificial Intelligence education.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Mashhood, during a news conference today, revealed that the initiative aims to offer direct technical training to two hundred thousand young individuals and indirect training to an additional six to eight hundred thousand this year. The Prime Minister has issued directives to ensure the effective implementation of this ambitious program.

The agreement with the Commonwealth will enable free training in the top eight streams of Artificial Intelligence, recognizing the high demand for skilled workers in international markets. This initiative is seen as a strategic move to enhance the employability of Pakistani youth globally.

Furthermore, Mashhood discussed the expansion of the Green Youth Movement, which will establish clubs in two hundred and sixty-eight universities across the country. Plans are in place to extend these clubs to colleges and schools, helping to better prepare young people to manage natural calamities.
