Pakistan Signs Historic Makkah Convention at OIC Anti-Corruption Meeting

Doha: Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Law & Justice and Human Rights, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, participated in the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Anti-Corruption Ministerial Meeting in Qatar, where he signed the Makkah Convention. This move marks a commitment by Pakistan to advance efforts in transparency and accountability in the global fight against corruption.

According to Ministry of Human Rights, the signing of the Makkah Convention is a significant step for Pakistan, affirming its dedication to international standards in combating corruption. During the event, Senator Tarar engaged in discussions with Qatar’s Minister of Justice, Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi. The dialogue highlighted mutual goals in legal reforms, anti-corruption measures, and the promotion of the rule of law, indicating strengthened bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
