Pakistan Showcases Tourism Potential at the Travel and Adventure Show in New York


New York, Pakistan’s vibrant tourism potential was on full display at the renowned Travel and Adventure Show in New York, where the country’s pavilion was inaugurated by Ambassador Masood Khan. The event was a significant platform to highlight Pakistan’s diverse attractions and cultural heritage.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, a 60-member delegation representing the Pakistan Tourism Development Cooperation, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, and 24 private sector companies are participating in the show. The Pakistan Pavilion, which received the “Best In-Show International Tourism Development” award from the event organizers, features live performances by artisans skilled in lacquer woodwork and traditional doll making, showcasing the rich cultural tapestry of the nation.



Minister of State for Tourism and Chairman PTDC Wasi Shah congratulated the team for their efforts in setting up the pavilion. He expressed hope that these endeavors would significantly attract more foreign visitors to Pakistan. Ambassador Khan, during the inauguration, emphasized Pakistan’s immense tourism potential, highlighting its blend of ancient and modern civilizations, stunning landscapes ranging from snow-capped mountains to pristine coastal areas, and a rich cultural heritage.



Ambassador Khan also urged members of the Pakistani community to invest in and promote tourism in their homeland, recognizing the sector’s potential for growth and profitability.



The Travel and Adventure Show in New York serves as a key international platform for showcasing global travel destinations, offering Pakistan a unique opportunity to present itself as one of the top travel destinations in the world.
