Yangling: Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, played a prominent role at the 31st China Yangling Agricultural High-Tech Fair (CAF), where he inaugurated the Pakistan Pavilion, furthering collaboration and showcasing Pakistani agriculture.
According to Press Information Department, Ambassador Hashmi, together with the Vice Governor of Shaanxi Province, led the opening of the Pakistan Pavilion. This participation follows Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s June visit to the region, emphasizing the ongoing agricultural exchange between the two countries. The pavilion featured a wide array of Pakistani products and crafts, attracting attention from both Chinese and international attendees.
During the fair, which runs from October 25 to 29, Ambassador Hashmi highlighted the strong bilateral ties between Pakistan and China, especially in agricultural sectors. He stressed the importance of such international forums in fostering learning and cooperation in agricultural technologies and practices. His discussions also covered topics of agricultural modernization and food security. In addition to the fair, the Ambassador engaged with Shaanxi’s provincial leaders and spoke at the Yangling Modern Agricultural S and T Forum on climate change challenges and cooperation.
As the Guest of Honour at the CAF, Pakistan’s presence underscores its commitment to agricultural innovation and international trade relations within the framework of the SCO countries’ participation. The fair is renowned for promoting the latest in agricultural science and technology, drawing over 10,000 entities from around 70 countries, emphasizing its global significance.
