Pakistan Shines at ITB Berlin 2025 with Strong Tourism Push


Islamabad: Pakistan has made a noteworthy impression at ITB Berlin 2025, the prominent global travel trade show in Germany, by showcasing its vast tourism potential. The event was a collaborative effort by the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, Green Tourism Private Limited, provincial tourism departments, and the private sector.



According to a statement by Press Information Department, the Pakistan Pavilion, covering an area of 100 square meters, was inaugurated by Saqlain Syedah, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Germany. The Commercial Wing in Frankfurt significantly contributed to organizing the event, facilitating business engagements, and promoting the country’s tourism industry.



A high-profile Pakistani delegation, comprising representatives from both public and private sectors, actively engaged with global tourism professionals. The delegation highlighted Pakistan’s cultural heritage, scenic landscapes, and adventure tourism opportunities. Among the attendees were Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Minister for Tourism of Sindh, M. Ghulam Muhammad, Minister for Tourism of Gilgit-Baltistan, and Lt. Gen Sardar Hassan Azhar Hayat, MD of GTPL.



Ambassador Saqlain Syedah emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to establishing itself as a leading travel destination. Managing Director PTDC, Aftab ur Rehman Rana, highlighted the strategic efforts to increase international visibility and attract global tourists through collaborations and networking.



Throughout the day, the delegation engaged in B2B meetings, networking events, and presentations with international tourism stakeholders to foster partnerships. A side event on March 5 focused on promoting business opportunities and enhancing industry linkages. Additionally, Pakistan participated in the “Cultural Diplomacy” session, showcasing its cultural heritage’s role in international tourism diplomacy.



The successful participation at ITB Berlin 2025 reinforced Pakistan’s dedication to enhancing its global tourism presence, attracting investment, and inviting travelers worldwide to explore its unique destinations. The Pakistan Pavilion received positive feedback from trade visitors, tour operators, media, and influencers, building on the foundations laid by participation in previous years.
