Pakistan Shines at GITEX Global 2024, Poised for IT Sector Expansion


Islamabad: Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, praised the significant achievements of Pakistan’s representatives at GITEX Global 2024 in Dubai, emphasizing the event’s success in highlighting the country’s IT potential on an international platform.



According to Press Information Department, Minister Khawaja delivered a congratulatory message this Saturday, lauding the efforts and dedication of the over 200 companies, startups, and industry experts that represented Pakistan. “Your dedication and hard work have made this event a huge success for Pakistan, showcasing the remarkable potential of our IT industry on the global stage,” she noted. Pakistan’s participation not only underscored its growing stature as a global technology hub but also earned it the accolade of ‘TechDestination of the Year’ at the event.



The Minister also highlighted the numerous memorandums of understanding and key partnerships established with international tech leaders during the event. These agreements, she stated, are pivotal for advancing Pakistan’s IT industry, providing new market opportunities, and fostering innovation. She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the IT sector, ensuring the continuation of the momentum gained at GITEX for ongoing technological and economic progress.
