Islamabad: In a significant development, Pakistan is preparing to launch a comprehensive industrial policy designed to enhance growth and export competitiveness. This was revealed during a meeting between Haroon Akhtar Khan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, and the Revenue Mobilization, Investment, and Trade Programme (REMIT).
Haroon Akhtar Khan underscored the critical nature of the forthcoming policy. “We are about to introduce an industrial policy that is crucial for addressing the challenges faced by the industrial sector,” he stated.
The policy, crafted in collaboration with the Ministry of Industries and Production, aims to empower industrialists and stimulate economic growth. Khan emphasized this approach, saying it would enable a more competitive industrial landscape in Pakistan.
Central to the policy’s framework is its export-oriented focus, designed to enhance the global competitiveness of Pakistani industries. Khan highlighted the government’s objective to create an enabling environment for industrialists.
The meeting marked a step forward in Pakistan’s initiative to strengthen its industrial sector, signaling potential economic growth and increased export capacity.
