Islamabad: The government of Pakistan is taking significant steps to revolutionize its agriculture sector by investing in the education and training of its youth. Minister for National Food Security, Rana Tanveer Hussain, announced that 224 Pakistani agriculture graduates are set to depart for China as part of the Prime Minister’s Special Capacity-Building Initiative.
Speaking at a send-off ceremony held in Islamabad, Minister Hussain emphasized the government’s commitment to equipping young people with modern knowledge and practical skills in agriculture. This initiative aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision to create a modern, innovative, and climate-resilient agriculture sector in the country.
The program aims to facilitate technology transfer and international collaboration, with China serving as a model due to its significant achievements in agricultural transformation. The initiative reflects a broader strategy to enhance Pakistan’s agricultural capabilities through exposure to global best practices.
The selected graduates will receive training in China, which is expected to significantly contribute to Pakistan’s agricultural development upon their return.
