Pakistan Seeks to Strengthen Economic Ties with Turkey and Azerbaijan, Says PM Sharif


Astana: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif advocated for enhanced trilateral cooperation among Pakistan, Turkey, and Azerbaijan in various sectors including economy, energy, tourism, and technology. This call was made during his address at the inaugural session of the Pakistan-Turkiye-Azerbaijan Trilateral Summit, which took place on the sidelines of the SCO Summit in Kazakhstan.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, The summit, which also saw participation from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Heydar Aliyev, served as a platform to discuss the deepening of ties between the three nations. Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the historical, cultural, and religious connections that form the basis of Pakistan’s relationships with Turkey and Azerbaijan. He expressed a strong commitment to working collaboratively to build a robust partnership that spans multiple areas of mutual interest, aiming to elevate the level of cooperation to new heights.
