Pakistan Seeks to Boost Digital Sector, Discusses Cooperation with Digital Cooperation Organization


Washington DC: In a strategic move to enhance its digital landscape, Pakistan’s Finance Minister met with Ms. Deemah Al Yahya, Secretary General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), discussing the potential advancements in the country’s ICT sector.



According to Press Information Department, during the meeting, the Finance Minister showcased Pakistan’s initiatives to cultivate an inclusive digital ecosystem aimed at improving governance, the quality of life for its citizens, and the overall economic well-being. He expressed the government’s commitment to investing significantly in digital infrastructure, the digital economy, digital foreign direct investment, digital skills, and digital governance.



The dialogue emphasized the importance of collaboration with international bodies like the DCO to accelerate Pakistan’s digital transformation and capitalize on its vast potential in the ICT sector. The meeting marks a pivotal effort by Pakistan to integrate more deeply into the global digital economy.
